The mission of St. Matthew Lutheran Church is to Connect people to the love of Christ, Nurture people with a faith centered in Christ, and Empower people for Christian living in the world.
Someone once said that the church is the only organization in the history of the world that exists for the sake of its non-members. That’s right - the whole reason we do what we do is that we want you to experience the love of Jesus. Regardless of the path you have walked to this point, please know there is an opportunity for new beginnings and new growth. God never changes, never betrays and never becomes indifferent. God never regrets any good thing he has ever done for you. What a revelation! Despite our fast-paced world littered with brokenness, there is a place to find peace and purpose. There are some things I hope you will notice about St. Matthew Lutheran Church. We care a lot about people here. We learned that from Jesus, who, no matter how large the crowd, always found time for individuals and their needs. We also care deeply about those who don’t know Jesus, the poor, and the hurting. We learned that from Jesus, too. Take a look around our site. After looking at us, we hope that you’ll want to join us in worship and service. POWER LAB (our Summer Vacation Bible School) will be held August 4-8 from 9:00 AM to Noon. Power Lab is a place where kids discover Jesus’ miraculous power! Get ready for an exciting adventure, following Jesus as he heals, helps, and gives power to people who need him. To register, volunteer to help, or get more information, click here.
The Gospel in the Window (Summer Preaching Series): If you have been in our sanctuary, you have seen the stained glass windows. Perhaps you have noticed the symbol in the middle of each window. These are ancient symbols full of rich imagery from God’s Word. Each week this Summer we will let a different window take us into God’s Word.
