We all go through times that we need to be cared for, listened to or comforted.
Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). St. Matthew is a caring community where we learn to care for others during crisis and life changes.
One way we do that is through GriefShare.
This is a class for people dealing with grief caused by loss of a loved one. Our Griefshare is a 12-session course that meets on Wednesday afternoons. It is offered twice a year. We also have a one-time class prior to Thanksgiving and Christmas each year called “Surviving the Holidays.”
